Aug 27, 2013 · The only thing I'd add here is that when you make a macro you should have it spam the same command as many times as you can. Macros don't buffer like regular actions do so they execute as soon as you press them and if you can't actually use the ability (e.g. if you're in animation lock), then the macro just doesn't do anything. This applies to information macros too. Example: /macroicon "Berserk" //changes your macro icon to the ability and it's cool down. /ac "Berserk" //executes the ability /wait 1 //essential so when you button mash your macro the ability will fire off but won't spam text. The only time a res macro should be even used is by RDMs or SUMs, letting the healers know they have done the pickup so the healers don't waste mana overlapping resses on the same target.
